Gertrude and Sandy shared <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">about <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">Nehemiah and related the story of the walls of Jerusalem being broken down and th<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">e vulnerability that <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">presented to the HIV\/AIDS threat. The disease, how it can be transferred and <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\"><a href=\"http:\/\/malawimontessoriproject.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Mountain-top.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-1714 alignright\" title=\"Mountain top\" src=\"http:\/\/malawimontessoriproject.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Mountain-top-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Mountain top\" width=\"63\" height=\"63\" \/><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">how the girls can prevent it were all discussed, including warnings to the girls and their parents about spe<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">cific dangers. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">We had 72 parents\/guardians and girls attend a program on abuse prevention in March. We began with worship, <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">scripture from Nehemiah, and prayer. The girls and <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">guardians watched a movie highlighting se<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">xual abuse and prevention. Tandu spoke with them about the issue in depth and the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/malawimontessoriproject.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/DrSandy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1710\" title=\"DrSandy\" src=\"http:\/\/malawimontessoriproject.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/DrSandy-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"DrSandy\" width=\"63\" height=\"63\" \/><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">parents\/guardians <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">and girls were very attentive. You can see by the pict<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">ure on the <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">right that this was <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">welcomed <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">information. This was a <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">serious session. We asked them to bring the <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">in<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">formation back to their communities and churches. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\"><a href=\"http:\/\/malawimontessoriproject.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Land1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1712\" title=\"Land1\" src=\"http:\/\/malawimontessoriproject.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Land1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Land1\" width=\"63\" height=\"63\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">Joyce Kasamba from Feed the Children Rehabilitation Center sent her (O.T.) interns in to <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">spend time<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\"> with us at<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">the school to see what Montessori education is all <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">about and how it can work with children with spec<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">ial <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">needs. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\">I have been praying on what God has for me next. I climbed up the mountain to pray and what did<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Calibri'\"> <a href=\"http:\/\/malawimontessoriproject.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Land2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1713\" title=\"Land2\" src=\"http:\/\/malawimontessoriproject.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Land2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Land2\" width=\"63\" height=\"63\" \/><\/a>I find unexpectedly? Children! Twelve of them! I had the sweetest time chatting, praying, singing and dancing with them on top of the mountain.
